A Special Visit from a Police Officer

Today we had a special visit from Officer Dan from the Atoka Police Department.  He is the Papa of a student in Mrs. Bonnie's class.  He talked to us about what a police officer does, seat belts, car seats, his uniform and gear, strangers, and so much more!  The kids really enjoyed hearing him talk!  The most important thing he told us was that we did not need to be afraid of police officers because their job is to help protect us and our community.

The students really enjoyed getting to go outside to look inside Officer Dan's police car.  We even got to take a class picture with him!  :)
