Hayride & Pumpkin Patch

What a fun day we had Thursday!  We had a brief morning of class time, snack, chapel, and then off to the hayride and pumpkin patch we went!  I was so thankful for the beautiful weather we had. 

Weighing, Measuring, & Decorating Pumpkins

Wednesday, during center time we weighed, measured, and decorated our pumpkins that we chose from the week before.  We talked about which pumpkins weighed the most, weighed the least, measured the biggest, and measured the smallest.  The students really enjoyed this time at my learning table.  Two of our Jazzy Bird friends were absent this day.

Chapel & iPads

Nicholas was our offering helper this past Thursday during chapel.  He enjoyed being the helper!  :)

Friday, we used the iPads during our center time.  We used them at my table to review the letter Tt and the number 6 as well as all the vowels and numbers we have already learned.  We use the iPads every Friday at my learning table.  The students are so excited to use them!  It is a great tool for learning!  Some of the apps that we use are:  Letter School, Starfall Letters, & Starfall Numbers.  There are other apps on the iPads, but these are the 3 that we have focused on.

New Jazzy Bird Friend & Pumpkins

We are so excited that we have a new Jazzy Bird friend in our class!  Ella has been at our school and has transitioned from the all day Pre-K 4 class to our half day class.  We now have 4 girls and 7 boys!  Ella is so sweet and fits right in with our class!  :) 

Today we had a special surprise!  We were able to walk to the pavilion to pick a pumpkin!  A parent in Mrs. Charlie's class donated enough pumpkins for all of the Pre-K 4 students to have one.  We will be doing some activities with these pumpkins in class before they come home.  The students were so excited!!  Happy Fall!!

Happy 5th Birthday Tyler!

Today we celebrated Tyler's 5th birthday during our snack time.  He turned 5 while we were out of school on Fall Break.  We had a yummy birthday cookie with icing.  Tyler is officially a "whole hand" now.  Thank you Tyler for celebrating with us!  :)

St. Jude Trike-A-Thon

We had so much fun Trikin' for Tripp Turner Wednesday!  The weather was so beautiful and all of the kids did a great job riding!

Happy 5th Birthday Murphy!!

Today we celebrated Murphy's 5th birthday during our snack time.  He will actually be 5, a "whole hand", tomorrow!  He brought some yummy donuts and squeeze applesauce pouches to share with us.  His mom and little sister even got to come celebrate with us!  Have a wonderful birthday Murphy!  :)
