100th Day of School!!

We are 100 days smarter!!  :)

We had a fun day celebrating 100 days of learning!  We had balloons, hats, and snacks!  The kids enjoyed using their snack you sent in to count to 100 using a chart.  Thank you!

Tacky Day!!

Today was Tacky Day!!  I enjoyed seeing your child dressed in their tackiest attire.  They were so cute!  Due to the snow last Friday, we had to move our tacky day to today.  Last week we were talking about arctic animals and of course the penguin is one of those animals.  Today we read a book called "TACKY the Penguin".  The kids loved the story.  Tacky was an odd bird compared to the others, but he ended up saving the other penguins from the hunters.  During our class art time, we made our own "Tacky the Penguin".  I hung these up outside our classroom door for everyone to see.  They are so cute!

Happy 5th Birthday Cathleen!!

Today we celebrated Cathleen's 5th birthday during our snack time.  Her birthday was actually last Friday, but we were out due to the snow.  Cathleen brought yummy M&M cookies for us to enjoy!  Thank you Cathleen for celebrating your birthday with us!  You are officially a "whole" hand!  :)

Snow Dance

Last Wednesday we had a 2 hour delay on starting school because of the ice that was on the ground.  We had a fun day of talking about snow!  We finished our snowman hats, read a book about a little snowflake, and did a snow dance.  I told the kids that we were supposed to get snow on Friday and that it was a good chance we would have a snow day.  They were so excited!

Chapel

Luke was our offering helper this past week in chapel.  After the offering time, we sang a song called, "Happy and You Know It" from www.worshiphousekids.com.  The kids LOVE this song!!  We learned that Jesus can do anything!  The story was about Jesus healing a sick man (John 5:1-9).  Each Thursday, your child comes home with a piece of paper of what they have learned during chapel time.  I encourage you to review it with your child and do the "Family Fun" suggestion that is on there.  The children are learning so much, but God's Word is the most important thing they are learning about at TCA.  

Bingo!!

We had so much fun playing number BINGO during center time on Wednesday!  We used cereal that is called "Cap'N Crunch's Sprinkled Donut Crunch" as our bingo playing pieces since we were focusing on the letter "Dd" for the week.  The kids sure did enjoy playing the game, but I think they enjoyed eating the cereal more!  :) 

C is for Cowboy & Cowgirl!

Cowboy & Cowgirl Day was so much fun!!  Cowboys and cowgirls were everywhere in our Pre-k 4 classrooms.  All of them were so cute decked out in their hats, plaid shirts, boots, vests, jeans, skirts, belts, chaps, and bandannas.  Here are some pictures of your adorable cowgirls and cowboys!  Yeeeeeee Haw!!!
