Thursday was a fun and busy day filled with watching an airplane, making and eating ice cream, and using iPads! The morning began with a surprise in the sky! The PreK 3 classes studied the letter Aa this past week. A parent of a child in Mrs. Barbie's class is a pilot of a small plane. He volunteered to come for an up close flight. He did a "fly by" at the school and even dropped water out onto the field so the students could see the spray! It was a fast 1-minute show and they certainly loved it!
During center and small group time, we made vanilla ice cream in a bag. They loved it! We also used iPads to practice the letter Ii using an app called Letter School. Mrs. Bonnie graciously provided all the PreK 4 students with cups of ice cream as we wrapped up our study of the letter Ii. We enjoyed our sweet treat at the end of the day on the playground!
We talked about our favorite flavor of ice cream.

Vanilla ice cream in a bag...it was yummy!
Yum!
Nicholas likes ice cream so much, he ate it all before I could get a pic. :)
Chase does not like ice cream because it's too cold and he didn't want his picture taken. :)
